Unfortunately, this teapot's tea infuser does not come out of the teapot easily. It actually only comes out if you really pull it out, which is difficult when there's hot water steeping the tea. I'm very upset that I ordered these and handed them out as gifts.
The net that holds the loose leaf gets really stuck under the leaf, so when you want to take out the tea, it won't come out. I could only take it out if I completely turned over the teapot (not practical if it's full of hot tea) OR if I really yanked it out (also not practical when theres hot tea in the pot). I consider this product semi-defective and taking it off the site since it can't do one of it's basic functions.
I actually had purchased this teapot in a different design years ago from a local store. So when I saw that it was offered as a free gift, I had to get another one. The description says it’s a teapot for two, but it’s the perfect amount of tea for me in the afternoons (I’m a morning coffee drinker). My only complaint is that the infuser doesn’t have a handle or anything to grab onto to remove from the teapot. Since I’m not sharing my tea, I only pour one cup at a time and don’t want the tea to keep steeping in the pot, so I have to remove the infuser. It’s metal so it gets very hot and I have to lift it out of the pot with my fingertips by the top edge, which isn’t easy to do quickly. Overall, this is still a great teapot, and if used as designed, my complaint is no longer an issue.
