This beautiful lotus pattern teapot matches my lotus tea cup perfectly. It holds multiple cups of Hot tea to get me through my afternoon meetings. Very easy to clean and change the single steeps. Would reccomend to anyone who wants multiple servings for themselves or to share.
I bought this teapot to replace my Beehouse teapot. I love the look of the PUGG and was excited about the improved tea basket. However, now that I've been using this to make tea for the past few weeks, I realize I'm more frustrated with it than pleased. Here's why: 1) The fliptop lid does not stay flipped up when attached and must be removed to add tea to the basket/remove basket or when pouring the boiling water in one-handed. 2) The top opening is so small! I like to handwash my teapots and this one is not easy to clean manually even for little hands. Fellow manual washers: use a brush on a wand for this one. 3) As others have mentioned, if you don't pour slowly and carefully, tea tends to spill everywhere (that's some metaphoric life advice, right there). There's a time and place for mindful, slow pouring. That time and place is not in my kitchen on a Saturday morning. I will say that when you do pour slowly and carefully, though, the nifty-looking spout is designed to offer a lovely stream. But if I'm not entertaining guests, I am more interested in getting the tea into my cup than watching the tea gracefully fall from the teapot. Overall this is a beautiful pot but I feel it's more about form, less about function.
