My wife enjoys making iced tea (excellent Mango Peach), however, the larger (bottom) glass pitcher recently developed a crack near the bottom. The set was used as directed (pouring hot water over ice from the tea steeped in the smaller vessel, and not placing either vessel directly in a microwave). The glass is very thin, and we were concerned from the beginning that durability might be a problem. I think a thicker gauge glass is called for here for what is otherwise a very elegant set.
I grew up drinking iced tea at the table as a typical Southerner. As a single adult, the idea of making a huge pitcher of tea like my mother used to do seemed excessive. But this smallish brewing system is just about ideal for me. In lockdown for the last year, it makes enough to get me through one day in total comfort. My favorite flavors are in this order - Mango Green, Blood Orange, Ceylon Gold and Raspberry Nectar. Each one is tasty and fragrant and refreshing. Congratulations to Teaforte for reinventing iced tea and making it perfect for a party of one! I stretch it out by rebrewing the teabag a longer period of time with a little less water the second shot and it just fills the pitcher with the ice. I probably do this three times a week and have the double walled glass to drink it out of.
Thank you for replacing the pitcher that was broken in delivery. I use the product every day.
