Perhaps I got a bad batch because unlike many reviewers who adore this tea - I found that it smelled sour, once steeped the taste was like synthetic pear flavoring and the end result was that it made me nauseous, sick to my stomach. I tried this tea twice- once hot and once iced with unfortunately the same results. I know it's a hassle to return an open tea so I think this one will be hitting the trash bin.
My first experience drinking White Ginger Pear was about 6 years ago at an event celebrated in a hotel. Before than, I was not a tea drinker at all. Ginger Pear was so delicious, I went home and researched it on the internet. I know that it can also be purchased at select Barnes and Nobles because my boss actually gave me a box for Christmas. I added a wee bit of honey and a lemon slice. The tea has a wonderful taste and just a hint of ginger. I discovered, if you let the tea set out and get cold the ginger taste becomes stronger which is absolutely tasty. Ginger Pear is highly recommended by me. I just hope you are a bit nicer than I am and share with your guests because I find it very challenging to do, no matter how hard I try.
I first had this at a conference I was attending. It has a definite, although mild, zing from the ginger; for me, it is the perfect mid-afternoon pick-me-up at work. The scent is very soothing, so I find it both calms my nerves and perks me up at the same time. But if you don't like the kick of ginger, you won't like it.
Amazingly delicious tea.
Black Currant for breakfast, white ginger pear for afternoon...The ginger pear is perfect for a wind down...love it. New to Tea Forte, and i am hooked; makes giving up coffee easy! Love everything about the product so far; from packaging to style, to product. Each cup has been delightful. Can't wait to try more.
I love the smell of this tea! One of my favorites. A strong white peach taste with a hint of ginger. It is just perfect.
This is the nicest ginger tea I've found, anywhere! Works well to settle an upset tummy. My favorite way to drink this, however, is iced. Wonderfully refreshing and a big hit with my guests every time I introduce them to this lovely tea, especially on a hot summer day!
I love a nice cup of tea in the afternoon or before bed, and considering the accolades i falsely assumed this tea would be exceptional. I was mistaken. It was way too sweet for my taste. However, i am not one to add sugar or sweetener to my tea, so perhaps if you prefer a sweet cup of tea this might be tasty, or if you typically don't like tea this would be a good place to start. For me, this was comparable to hot sugar juice...yuck
Because this is a white tea, I thought the ginger flavor would really shine through, but the tea has too little ginger for my tastes. However, if you like a tea that is not overpowering and combines the tastes of ginger and pear, this might be the right fit for you.
This blend has a very subtle flavor, with just a touch of sweetness imparted from the pear. It tastes excellent chilled or iced, as well.
I have been drinking this tea for years and have not found another that is even close to how amazing it is. It is naturally slightly sweet, which I like, and is full of great flavours. Everyone Should try it.
White Ginger Pear has been one of my favorite flavors from Tea Forte for well over a year now. The flavor of this tea is delicious and all the flavors blend perfectly. You won't be disappointed with this one.
I had my first experience with white ginger pear tea about 5 years. White Ginger Pear is the most amazing tea, I've ever tasted. In fact, it is so delicious I have a hard time sharing it with friends. At first, I thought it was too expensive. However, the tea bag can be used for a few cups and not lose the flavor at all. Add a few drops of honey and maybe a little lemon juice and you'll be on your way to heaven!!! Amazing!!!
This is my first time experiencing this brand and I'm very impressed with it. The aroma is delicate, but the flavor is crisp and enticing. Like biting into a fresh pear perfectly complimented with a sutble sparks of Ginger lingering on the back the palette. Amazing!!!
Just got this tea today, and so far it seems to be a pretty decent tasting cup of tea. I've only had a single cup so far, but definitely will be giving it another go.
White tea has a very delicate flavor, so I was expecting a subtle delicate flavor to this tea. However, this tea has a tremendous spicy bite to it. The ginger completely overpowers the delicate flavor of the white tea and the subtle pear notes.
My new addiction. Have to have it every day.
IT SMELLS LIKE JOLLY RANCHER'S!!!!! No seriously but it is a very, very good cup of tea, it makes me want to drink it all the time. And it doesn't leave that weird feeling in you're mouth either I don’t really know how do describe the taste, but if you are a new time tea drinker, I would DEFANATLY RECOMEND THIS!!!
One of my top 2 favorite teas if you are looking for a new tea to try I would recommend this one!
I must echo what others have said. I received this tea as part of a lovely gift set, and it has become my favorite tea ever. Giving up coffee was sooo hard (sorry to all of you hard core tea folks,) and this tea makes me excited to come downstairs in the morning. Thanks, Tea Forte, for introducing me to this delicately combined set of flavors.
I love this tea! It is the most refreshing hot tea I have tasted. I love a cup in the afternoon even on a hot day. The flavor is crisp and balanced. Not too sweet, with a touch of spice.
This is the most fabulous refreshing tea! I have a cup or 2 every afternoon at work. Just love it!
I love this tea. Make sure you try it! I enjoyed it in a small spanish restaurant in South Florida. Since then, I have bought the pitchers and plenty of tea. Worth every penny!
This is my current all-time favorite tea. It is crisp and fruity and a bit spicy, with wonderful aroma. Absolutely love it!
This is my favorite tea so far from Tea forte. The tea smells as good as it tastes, sweet and refreshing. Good way to start the morning.
