About Pear Cobbler

Tea Type : White Tea

Tea Forté’s Pear Cobbler is an exquisite white tea blend pairing the most delicate of all tea leaves with a burst of juicy pear flavor. Beautiful sunflower petals bring a floral note to this subtle blend, which includes small pieces of pear in addition to natural flavoring. In this tea, a hint of lychee is revealed on the second or third sip, suggesting a journey to the fragrant fruit’s homeland, the Fujian province of China.

White tea is the least processed and rarest of all tea varieties, with the highest concentration of polyphenols (an antioxidant revered in Ayurvedic medicine and some western practices). It is the most challenging variety of tea to procure, due to its delicate production process. In early spring, the leaves are delicately hand-plucked when their buds and leaves are still closed and covered by fine, silvery-white downy hairs. They undergo a meticulously monitored drying process through which the tea is withered, and then these fragile tea leaves are blended with the most exquisite fruits, flowers, spices and herbs to compose beloved Tea Forte blends.

Pear Cobbler may be accompanied by sugar or honey to taste, although tea purists may enjoy it simply steeped in water without any additions, allowing the flavors to announce themselves.

Steeping instructions

1. Heat water to 195˚F.
2. Place tea in cup and pour water over the leaves.
3. Steep for 2-4 minutes.
4. Enjoy!

For loose leaf iced teas, use 3 tsp per 8oz glass.

    Stands Out

Bought this in loose blend at local store in my home town. Most interesting smell when opening the container. Didn't know if I was going to like it until I brewed it & added some almond milk, pure vanilla extract, & brown sugar. SWEET NEW REALMS OF FLAVOR!!! Nice & warm as well as very tasty.

    Don't Over Steep!

I made the mistake of letting this blend sit too long the first few times I tried it. Once I realized that it wasn't supposed to be bitter, I was able to enjoy a nice hot cup on these winter nights.

I honestly love this tea. It's got a touch of sweetness, and you can actually taste a little bit of the pear. Most pear teas I have tried, you can't taste it at all. It also has a floral taste to it that I love.

    Pear Cobbler Tea

The Pear Cobbler tea is very light and not too sweet. It actually reminded me of a pear cobbler pie.
