About Strawberry Hibiscus

Tea Type : Oolong Tea

Our Strawberry Hibiscus is an exceptional oolong tea blend, pairing subtle floral undertones with a sweet hint of strawberry. Created especially for the limited-edition Jardin Collection in collaboration with The New York Botanical Garden, this blend brings a delicate sweetness to the familiar comforts of hibiscus petals and organic oolong tea leaves, releasing a fragrance reminiscent of a leisurely garden stroll. The result is an easy-drinking tea, perfectly enjoyed hot or iced.

Similar to black tea, oolong tea is made from the mature leaves of the camellia sinensis plant, which are wilted, partially oxidized, dried, and fired before blending with signature ingredients to create a custom flavor profile. Strawberry, better known to botanists as fragaria × ananassa, is known around the world as a juicy, aromatic fruit enjoyed fresh from the vine or incorporated into any number of dishes. Hailing from Brittany, France, the hybrid species is a relatively new berry, only dating back to the 18th century. Blended with the subtle tang of hibiscus, it evokes a sense of springtime, sweetness, and renewal. This blend’s botanical pedigree is echoed in its custom-designed packaging. The Jardin Collection has been given an elegant floral treatment with a mélange of original artwork by renowned Belgian artist Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759–1840), who served as an official artist in the courts of both Marie Antoinette and Josephine Bonaparte.

When enjoying a cup of Strawberry Hibiscus, a hint of sugar or honey brings the blend’s floral notes to the forefront. Tea purists, however, may enjoy it simply steeped in water without any accoutrements. It may be served hot or iced. This blend is certified Kosher.

Steeping instructions

1. Heat water to 195˚F degrees.
2. Place tea in cup and pour water over the leaves.
3. Steep for 5 minutes or longer.
4. Enjoy!

For loose leaf iced teas, use 3 tsp per 8-ounce glass and double the steep time.

    Disappointing strawberry hibiscus

The tea has a wonderful aroma before steeping but loses that scent once steeped. There is no strawberry flavour to the tea despite allowing extra time to steep. There is an abundance of heavy green leaves that overpower the entire taste of the tea. I am very disappointed in this product.

    Wonderful iced

This is a wonderful addition of the tea forte collection. I enjoyed it hot and iced(preferred it iced) No artificial flavor taste. My only wish is that is was an herbal blend so my 9 year old daughter who loves tea could drink it consistently.

    Beautiful Design, Quality Teas

The Strawberry Hibiscus is wonderful in it's aroma and taste - just the right combination of strawberry and oolong flavors (one of my new favorites! The green mango peach is always a favorite - especially iced. The chocolate rose was indulgent without being to rich, I enjoyed the chamomile citron and the vanilla pear was good too. This has such pretty packaging - just add a ribbon and you've got the perfect gift!

    Another creative and delightful blend

Another creative blend from Tea Forte. Immediately upon opening the can, you see the quality of the tea. The delicately curled up leaves mixed with the dried strawberries give you a visual , and the fragrant aroma lets you know that something wonderful is coming. It is a fruity, sweet tea that is very unique. Either hot or iced, it is a fun and welcoming blend of tea. Be careful not to steep too long or it can get bitter. All of the teas that Tea Forte makes are of the highest quality and the new products never cease to impress me.

A lovely alternative to my matcha

Tea Forte's matcha (all flavors) is my morning tea of preference, but after one sip of this strawberry hibiscus tea I knew it would be a lovely change of pace for an afternoon cup, and perfect for spring/summer months. When I opened the canister the sweet smell of strawberries was amazing. And when I made my first cup, steeping the fragrant buds in my Jardin Kati steeping cup, I couldn't help but slow down and savor the experience. The tea is fragrant, bright, full of flavor and smooth. I see why it is a global award-winner.

    Delicious and Highly Aromatic

The first thing I noticed when I opened the canister was the wonderful smell of strawberries. The strawberry pairs well with the oolong tea and after drinking my first cup, I immediately brewed another it was so delicious!

    A Light Tea

I noticed the wonderful strawberry scent before I even opened the canister. While the scent is STRAWBERRY I found the favor to be - strawberry - a more subtle version. I tried it with just a drop of honey and actually didn't like it. I much prefer the tea on its own. I imagine it will be great this summer as an iced tea as another option.
