About Pure Matcha

Tea Type : Green Tea

Tea Forté’s Pure Matcha is an exceptional tea experience, offering the healthful joy of spring-harvested, shade-grown, stone-ground green tea. Its enlivening, earthy flavor comes as a surprise to those who are experiencing matcha for the first time, and its smooth richness is pleasing and familiar to those who love the ancient green powdered tea.

Stronger when prepared with water and more mellow when prepared with frothed milk, this matcha is not a blend, but rather, a single-ingredient offering. Its distinct flavor opens with the unmistakable lushness matcha is known for and rounds off into a vibrant green note as it swirls across the tongue. Because matcha powder is made using the entire green tea leaf, it carries a host of health benefits.

Matcha dates back to the Tang Dynasty in China, when it was dried into bricks from which people could break off small pieces and stir them into hot water for an invigorating natural beverage. In the 12th century, the father of Zen Buddhism introduced the concept of matcha to Japan, and it was incorporated into traditional Japanese matcha ceremonies over the centuries to come. Today, matcha is enjoyed around the world, due in part to its distinctive green color and in part to its status as a superfood, packed with antioxidants.

For hot matcha, blend one Single Steeps Matcha into 3.5 ounces of near-boiling water. Mix thoroughly until rich and foamy. For best results, use a traditional bamboo whisk or frother.

For a matcha latté, blend one Single Steeps Matcha into 3.5 ounces of warm milk. Thoroughly mix with frother until tea becomes rich and foamy.

For iced matcha, blend one Single Steeps Matcha into 3.5 ounces of cool water. Mix thoroughly and add ice. For best results, use a traditional bamboo whisk or frother.

      smooth flavor

I found it to be very smooth in flavor. I drink it as a latte. I like almost all types of tea without any sweetener but for some reason i really enjoy the matcha as a latte. It is very fine and does not seem to clump after running it through my sifter like other quality brands i have purchased

      A 5 Star Matcha

Since falling in love with ground matcha tea many years ago I've tried lots of brands. Tea Forte pure matcha is by far one of the best. It's smooth, not bitter like some matchas, and rewards the senses in so many other ways with its rich green color and beautiful aroma. The Tea Forte flavored matchas are all worth trying, but this pure matcha is exceptional just on its own.

A great tea with all the expected benefits

I really enjoyed Tea Forte’s Pure Matcha. It’s gave me a genuine boost of energy to get me going in the morning and helped me sustain that pick-me-up feeling until lunch without any caffeine-like jitters. A few things I’ll note though - I drink “regular” Jasmine green tea regularly and that may be why I like this so much. If you aren’t familiar with the flavor of plain green tea, then Pure Matcha might be too much too fast. It is STRONG in flavor. Per the instructions, this is a tea that you whisk with the water (or milk) and then drink. These are not leaves that you put in a tea strainer which might explain at least part of the strong taste. The canister is small, but that is because of the cost to produce a matcha tea of this quality. I believe Tea Forte was trying to keep it in line with their other teas in terms of pricing. If this is for yourself, that’s not an issue. If you are giving it as a gift, just be aware of the sizing before you buy. This is a high-quality, great-tasting tea that seems to do everything that matcha tea promises to do - just be aware of the robust flavor of this variety if you are new to it.

I discovered Matcha earlier this year and have been enjoying the benefits of this "Superfood". The first thing I noticed when I opened the "Pure Matcha" was the vibrant green of the tea - brighter than other matcha tea I have purchased. I like to mix the batch of matcha that I'm making with a little hot water first to help blend it more thoroughly before I put the full amount of hot water in (I used a total of 5 oz to 1 level tsp of matcha for each batch). The "Pure Matcha" blended and foamed up well with my whisk and had a fresh taste. I had my husband try this and another brand without knowing which was which, and he picked the "Pure Matcha" over the other brand. I enjoy it both with water or with almond milk for a matcha latte and would recommend this to anyone who enjoys matcha.

      SINGLE FLAVOURS CAME!

Hey there fellow tea lovers, this is Matcha girl. A few months ago, I was looking for pure matcha by itself. Now that Tea Forté released it in their pretty little canisters, I definitely recommend this. It's probably wise to get the collection first, so you can try all the bold different flavours first. 5/5! bye for now, Matcha girl (also a very enthused customer*)
