About Pear Cobbler

Tea Type : White Tea

Tea Forté’s Pear Cobbler is an exquisite white tea blend pairing the most delicate of all tea leaves with a burst of juicy pear flavor. Beautiful sunflower petals bring a floral note to this subtle blend, which includes small pieces of pear in addition to natural flavoring. In this tea, a hint of lychee is revealed on the second or third sip, suggesting a journey to the fragrant fruit’s homeland, the Fujian province of China.

White tea is the least processed and rarest of all tea varieties, with the highest concentration of polyphenols (an antioxidant revered in Ayurvedic medicine and some western practices). It is the most challenging variety of tea to procure, due to its delicate production process. In early spring, the leaves are delicately hand-plucked when their buds and leaves are still closed and covered by fine, silvery-white downy hairs. They undergo a meticulously monitored drying process through which the tea is withered, and then these fragile tea leaves are blended with the most exquisite fruits, flowers, spices and herbs to compose beloved Tea Forte blends.

Pear Cobbler may be accompanied by sugar or honey to taste, although tea purists may enjoy it simply steeped in water without any additions, allowing the flavors to announce themselves.

Steeping instructions

1. Heat water to 195˚F.
2. Place tea in cup and pour water over the leaves.
3. Steep for 2-4 minutes.
4. Enjoy!

For loose leaf iced teas, use 3 tsp per 8oz glass.

Great flavors, but leaf too fine!

Chose this flavor from the sampler to buy the large canister, but have been disappointed by the fine texture as it goes right through my finest strainer, leaving my tea gritty! Five-star flavor with one-star quality averages out to a three-star tea experience.

    Fresh fruit + refreshing tea

I'm not a sweet tooth but the name of this selection ("dessert selection") is really attractive, so I gave it a shot. I'm very glad I did! This tea is white tea based, so it is definitely not a very strong (bitter-ish) tea. It also has the refreshing aroma of pear and you can definitely taste a hint of lychee. Even people in my family who don't drink tea start to request it during cold winter days. Definitely worth a try!

    Light and Refreshing

Great when you want something light, and really refreshing when iced on a hot summer day. Leaf size could be a bit bigger though, so you don’t get so many bits of leaf in the tea.

    So tasty!

This is a delightful treat... and yet, it’s tea! Truly living “la Dolce Vita” with the Pear Cobbler loose tea.

This tea is very light, crisp and sweet. This is a perfect summer tea - though I drink it year round!

    Rich pear flavours

A delightful light flavoured tea with warm pear tones. One of my favourites by itself or blended with other loose leaf teas.

    Great aroma and taste

This tastes just like pear cobbler without the calories. Wonderful to have in the morning to ward off the chill. It is one of my favorites and has little or no caffeine.

    Lite and calming

This tea is subtle. It's not too sweet. My 12 year old loves to drink it before bed.
