I received a selection of teas for Christmas this year and this is one of them. I do drink quite a bit of Eary Grey but I forgot what a really great tea tastes like! Love love love it.
Love this tea for a morning pick me up. The tea leaves are most beautiful. Would love to bake with this tea to add the beautiful flavor.
To me, Tea Forte Earl Grey Tea has more body and is better than Twinnings Earl Grey. So far, I have not found another tea that compares to Tea Forte's Earl Grey. It is the best I have found and is unique.
----About 8 months ago or so, I noticed that my wonderful Tea Forte Earl Grey's taste had become a wee bit "weaker." Although I have meant to check the comments to see if anyone else had noticed the same change in formula, this was the first opportunity I have had to do so..... The answer, gleaned from other long-time fans, appears to be "yes" (however, I easily remedy this by doubling the amount of loose tea I brew a cup with)...It would appear the rather "super Bergamot " recipe was not to everyone's taste, alas.... However, upon reading through the reviews, I came across the one that I left over two years ago--it is as apropos today, as it was then: This is, quite simply, the finest cup of Earl Grey available in the U.S. (and, trust me: we British know our tea !)....
I am still experimenting with this tea. I love it, don't get me wrong. It is like I have never really tasted Earl Grey before! So I am experimenting with amount of tea and seeping time, to get the flavor I want. I will eventually get it right! The standard spoonful and 3 minutes made it just too strong for me personally.
The aroma and taste of this product is to die for. Wish I had used bulk tea years ago.
I bought the individual Tea Infusers and they even work in my Keurig and can be used twice.
I am an aromatherapist by trade and the first scent to open my eyes in the morning sets the tone for my day. The quality of Tea Forte's Earl Gray is visually captivating, with its lovely corn flowers, and the bergamot is uplifting and empowering--puts me in a wonderful mood every morning!
This tea has such a unique rich flavor. I just love to!
I purchased the Event Box of Earl Grey tea. Not only was it packaged beautifully but the sensual aroma and refined subtle yet assertive flavor is to be praised. Thank you TEA FORTE.
Earl Grey has been my go to choice for years. Receiving a couple Tea Forte bags from a friend I found it to be a perfect blend and have since placed orders for, and enjoyed, both tea bags and loose tea. It's great when I can brew a pot and enjoy its flavor on a weekend morning when there's no reason to rush. It deserves to be savored.
I just started drinking tea at the age of 45 and I am LOVING this tea. It has a lovely bouquet. I could drink this all day long. This is my favorite for sure.
Wonderful flavor and presentation!
Great tea, especially iced.
Earl Grey is my most favorite tea to drink. I love mixing it with a peppermint herb tea for that hint of mint. It is very refreshing.
I travel a lot and always make sure to sample an Earl Grey or two whenever I can. This is by far one of the best I have tried. Nice sized leaves with a good strong Bergamot but not too strong that it overpowers the Assam base. For those who do not like their tea heavy on the Bergamot you might want to add some standard Assam, but for me it's perfect! Highly recommended.
My husband and I love this tea! We used to get this tea in the individual pyramids, but now have found it more economical to buy in these wonderful sealing bags giving us control over the amount of tea we use.
Best Earl Grey around!
My wife is a Earl Gray drinker and she loves this one!
a perfectly deightful earl grey tea!!!
I love this earl grey. Fantastic taste and I enjoy my afternoon cup of tea. I look forward to it. They've really captured what a good cup of tea should be. Thank you so much for caring!
Full, rich taste. Very strong and satisfying. I am an old time tea drinkers do was always on a search of a perfect cup of earl grey. No more!
love this tea
Excellent Earl Grey
I am a former very dedicated coffee drinker who woke up one day and found that coffee just wasn't working for me any more. I was not a big fan of tea prior to that time, but soon started trying various black teas as I still wanted some caffeine. I eventually found that Earl Grey was my drink of choice and I started ordering Tea Forte and have never looked back! It is the best of the Earl Grey selections on the market.
By far the best Earl Grey tea I've ever tasted!
Earl grey has always been my favorite black tea, I rejoiced finding Tea Forte formula it is by far the best !!!
Earl Grey has always been my favorite, but Tea Forte Earl Grey is simply the best.
Earl Grey tea is the perfect tea for first thing in the morning on late in the afternoon when you need a pick me up!
I love the citrus floral flavour of this tea. It is lovely with just a touch of sugar. I do much prefer this loose leaf version of it. Its full and robust in flavour and my go to morning tea.
I love Earl Grey tea and this is by far the best I have ever tasted and its organic
My husband drinks tea all the time. He has tried many different varieties and has found Tea Forte is the best flavor!
My husband really enjoys.
Always my go to tea, with bright bergamot flavor and aroma. Great pick me up for the afternoon "tireds".
Love this tea, it's my everyday staple, slight aroma, the perfect vapors to wake up to.
This is still my main-stay, everyday. I love it and never get tired of it. This has the boldest bergamot flavor I've found in a strong black tea that isn't bitter.
Lovely aroma! Perfect in the afternoon with a cookie!
I love the aroma of the earl grey tea, some other brand I tried are too bitter but not this one, love it!
I am really enjoying the full bodied flavor of this Earl Grey tea, esp. now in combination with the steeping cup and infuser, which is convenient and keeps my tea very warm.
I first had this tea at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Park Canada. It was at a high tea and I've always been a fan of Earl Grey, but many overdo the bergamot. This tea was smooth and good black or with cream and sugar.
Sometimes, if I want to adjust the strength of my Earl Grey, I will use the loose leaf tea instead of the bags. It's the same smooth taste, but you are able to adjust it for strength.
This is a really nice tea. High quality Earl Grey.
love the tea bag design. earl grey is my favorite tea. great to share the tea with my friend at party time.
This is the best Earl Grey around
good aroma, smooooth taste, I think Tea Forte Earl grey is world best tea !!
You will love the smell of it even without opening the. LC. And the event box is definitely a very good deal.
I am so glad I found this Earl Grey Tea. 15 long years I tried to find an Earl Grey that comes close to the quality and taste of the Earl Grey Tea I used to buy in a tiny tea shoppe in Germany. Everything so far left me in want - until I discovered Tea Forte's Earl Grey. In my opinion THE best that is out there. Try it, you won't be sorry.
Used the box for a large party - huge success!
The best Earl Grey tea hands down
The Bergamot really shines through!
Of all the Earl Grey Teas that I have tried the Tea Forte loose Early Grey is by far the most enjoyable and consistent in quality and flavor.
My Dad loves it, so I buy it time and again!
And I love this tea! Great flavor, nice bouquet. I love a cup of this in the morning to start my day.
This is my go to tea every morning
Fresh and delicious.
wonderful strong Earl Grey flavor, love it
One earl grey tea bag pyramid makes the perfect ice tea over a 24oz tumbler of ice!
I'm not a big black tea drinker, but this is a good one
One of my favorites :)
My sister's favorite tea is Earl Grey especially a delicious cup while reading a book. Her 60th birthday was coming up in January and I wanted to give her something special she would enjoy. I ordered a total of 60 Earl Grey Tea Bags that came in three Presentation Boxes (20 tea bags in each box). I also baked her favorite Biscotti and mailed them to her (she lives in another state). Everything was perfect and arrived on time. Soon we will be together to celebrate in person and we will both have a cup of delicious Tea Forte Earl Grey tea together.
Love the Earl Grey tea. I use it for both ice tea and hot tea. Wonderful robust flavor that works great for both!
Absolutely amazing flavor
I love my earl gray and am quite picky with it, this one definitely wins!
A classic tea with great taste and aroma!
I like the fact that the tea is organically grown. The tea has an intense and delicious flavor.
I love the ease of the pyramid packaging. This is the best tea that I have found.
Excellent aroma and distinctive Earl Grey flavor. My personal favorite.
This is the first Earl Grey I've had in years in bags that actually tastes like Earl Grey. I'm looking forward to other teas from Tea Forte.
We no longer have to hide the tea bag and can truly enjoy the flavour of earl Grey Tea. I purchased this as a gift and my friend is over the moon with it. The elegant packaging means we no longer have to hide the tea bag. You halve truly taken drinking tea to new heights.
I've had many versions of Earl Grey tea over the years, and Tea Forte's is one of the best. There is an herbal, almost grassy quality in the tea flavoring that just sets it apart from the others. Delicious.
I always keep some on hand for when English Breakfast just isn't enough.
I love Early Grey - Tea Forte' has the best.
I have tried every possible earl grey tea. Without a doubt this is the best tasting tea. I take it everywhere and tell everyone I know!!
This tea is so good. My favorite earl grey.
Tea Forte's Earl Gray tea is a welcomed start to the day. I thoroughly enjoy its robust taste. Over the years, I have tried many different early gray teas from different companies, but this still remains my favorite.
Simply one of the best Earl Gray Teas
Best flavor ..terrific packaging Enjoying!!
Been an EG drinker for years. Started off with Twinings & Stash which were fair 101 intros. Have bought others over the years which were pretty tepid. Thought Republic was pretty good but only found bags which for me, limits the brewing capacity. Teavana is okay. I was in Claremont, CA over the holidays at a coffee & tea spot (Tocaja) & ordered an EG, expecting something pedestrian when lo & behold, I had my socks knocked off!! The first thing I noticed was that it didn't taste synthetic. (Think we get a lot of "filler" in most flavored teas). Then the notes; nicely balanced between black tannins, the citrus quality isn't just bergamot. I am going to call you out, FT. I think the secret miracle ingredient is orange blossom. You can pick this up just from the nose of a canister. I bought my first (& definitely not last TF canister) from the proprietor on the spot. Am your latest fan & am looking forward to trying more of your blends.
I like drink Earl Grey in the mornings and this is a satisfying blend.
Have loved this tea and its smooth flavor.
This tea is my favorite. It is always packaged in a nice gift box if you decide to give it as a gift instead of for yourself. The fragrance is wonderful and it makes for a great cup of Earl Grey.
Earl Grey has always been a favorite and I enjoy it best loose leaf. I use filtered water for my beverages so the usual chlorinated tap water doesn't interfere with the flavors. This has the right amount of bergamot for my tastes. It is perfect with milk and honey and I drink it every day. The canister is perfect for keeping the tea fresh.
Can never go wrong with earl grey that is this quality.
Good tea! Good taste and aroma!
This Earl Grey is my favorite!
We drink this one every Sunday afternoon with our dessert. I've made Earl Grey shortbread cookies, too.
Love this Earl Grey tea!
Good flavor, good value.
I really enjoy the Earl Grey, some of the best I have had!! One disappointment is that the company chooses to have their tea packaged in China.
Amazing flavor and the perfect Earl Grey.
Absolutely fabulous...highly, highly recommend!!
And whatever happened to the recipe has rendered it literally undrinkable. It smelled bad. It tasted bad. I got in touch with customer support and they're refunding my money and checking the batch to see if there was something wrong with it but they said they have changed the recipe. I don't know why when it was the best cup of Earl Grey tea I've ever tasted. Not any more :(
Love this Earl Grey, such a wonderful taste and aroma, The best Earl Grey I've had, highly recommend it. Love the option to buy it via the event box, great packaging and value.
My husband loves your earl grey tea
Love this tea, the best Earl Grey I have tasted.
I purchased this tea today and brewed a cup. I have had Earl Grey tea before, but this was the most disgusting beverage I have tasted in my 74-1/2 years. I forced myself to drink about half the cup and then threw away the rest. The entire canister will see the trash by tomorrow. I am retired and a loss of $16.00 will hurt. I will no longer waste any more money on Tea Forte. Do not use my name in this review - you can use MRM.
Of a 4 tea assortment box I was gifted, this was the type I most looked forward to. Sadly, I don't I could pick it out of a blind taste test. Who ever says that about an Earl Grey? I can barely convince myself there's bergamot in this, so I'm surprised by all the complaints that it is so strongly flavored. It would seem Tea Forte took those complaints and ran in the other direction. Bummer.
I love this tea! I received some as a Christmas gift in 2014 and now purchase it by the pouch! The aroma is calming to me and the flavor is brisk! Thank you!
By far the BEST Earl Grey I have ever had. Totally love it. You do have to watch your steeping time and amount of tea used but once mastered the level I like absolutely love it.
This is the strongest bergamot Earl Grey I've found - and I couldn't love it more! I crave this tea, and it makes the morning worth getting up for! An incredible surprise was finding that the piece of dark chocolate I had thrown into the tin (for lack of a quick place to stash it) had soaked up the flavor of the tea. It was transformed into an unbelievable Earl Grey Chocolate. I now keep a rotation of small chocolate pieces in the bottom of the tin (under the liner) for emotional sustenance. It takes about a week for the chocolate to soak up the flavor; the longer, the better. Absolutely awesome!
After reading all the rave reviews about this tea I was excited to try it. I used a Single Steep in my Kati cup and let it steep for 4 minutes. The first thing I noticed was an off-putting, chrysanthemum-like odor that was almost reminiscent of insecticide. The taste was no better. As a Tea Forte fan and an Earl Grey lover, I appreciate bergamot, but this was overpowering and it almost tasted soapy. Sugar and cream didn't help. It left a sour aftertaste that I actually had to wash down with a sweet cola soda to get it out of my mouth. Very disappointing, would not buy it again.
I got the Earl Grey loose leaf tea canister from a site recommendation from my tea-obsessed friend, and I see why he loves it so much. The earl grey from TeaForte surpasses every other earl grey I've ever tried, by so, so much. The simplistic yet elegant process of preparing this tea from the convenient and surprisingly decorative canister is so satisfying. And you're rewarded after a successful brew with a nice, refreshing cup of hot goodness. The dark, brown-red colour mixed with the enticing citrus-like taste is simply overwhelming. This is the greatest tea I've ever had and I'm sure this website has much more to offer, I will certainly be purchasing this again.
This is the best Earl Gray I've had. I love being able to see the little flowers in my cup while steeping. Smells good and taste great!
I love the way this tea taste. The smell and flavor are both so relaxing and delicious it makes my worries melt away.
I have been drinking Tea Forte's Earl Grey tea exclusively for over two years now (two VERY large mugs per day)...It is, quite simply, the best tasting Earl Grey I have come across (and I have consumed quite a bit over the years). I, too, found the tea leaves to be too "fine" ---but ONLY with the "packaged" Earl Grey; the Earl Grey sold in CANISTERS (tins) is PERFECT: larger leaves, none of the "dust." Purchase the CANISTERS....you won't regret it when you taste this full-bodied, fragrant Earl Grey!
It smell really good and taste great
Well, I read the reviews about the tea leaves being too fine. I buy the large loose package and found this to be true, however, the taste over-rides the bother of straining the tea. I love it! My trick is to spoon one tablespoon of the loose tea in a round coffee filter and hold the gathered ends together. After pouring the water, I settle the little package in my four cup pot while still holding the gathers, I place the lid on, trapping the filter just a bit. It works every time -just pure tea, no trace of tea dust or leaves. I don't take the lid off until all the tea is gone. When I'm at work and I don't have my little tea pot. I staple the little package, making my own tea bag and put it in a large mug to steep.
I have given up on trying to drink this tea. No matter how I brew it (being careful about the temperature of the water and even steeping it for 2 minutes instead of 3), it always comes out way to strong and bitter. Don't get me wrong, I love a strong cup of tea. This one is just too much. I have discovered, however, that it does ok in baked goods. The shortbread cookies I made were decent, though since the tea leaves had to be baked in it, they had a bit of a bitter aftertaste. It's still a work in progress, lol. The other thing I found disappointing about this tea is the state it came in. I prefer my loose leaf tea to be full leaf, not the crumbles you'd expect to find in a tea bag. I'm happy for those who enjoy this tea, it's just not for me. I would only recommend it to people who like their tea extra, extra, extra strong.
I remember how excited I was to get this tea. You see, earl grey tea is my favorite. And I opened up the canister to discover that it was powered - so fine that it was falling through the holes of my Kati Cup's strainer. But I gave it a shot anyway, thinking, "This is Tea Forte! Everything they do is great!" This tea did not impress. It's got too much Bergamot to it - it's all I could taste or smell. And because the leaves fell through the strainer, they kept steeping as I drank, making the tea bitter. I've tried everything I can think of - using less than a full teaspoon of tea in an 8 ounce cup to make it less strong, changing strainers even tried putting a teaspoon of it in a friend's "one cup" coffee maker....and nothing has worked to make this tea a winner for me.
If you think you like the super market version of Earl Grey tea you will most definitely fall in love with your first cup. I could not believe the difference in taste. This tea rocks!
Ok, this is about the best Earl Grey I have ever tasted....and I grew up in the South...so long line of big tea drinkers of every kind and flavor. Don't over brew! Follow steeping directions, and you won't be disappointed.
As the headline says, the taste is really nice, bold but not overpowering provided you do not over steep. My issue is that when I received the tea the majority of it was so broken down it was basically powdered, what I would expect if I opened up a tea bag. I steep in a fine mesh and still have to re-strain to avoid a cup full grains. Very Disappointing.
I was given the Kati double wall ceramic "mug" as a birthday gift to days ago, and one of the single packets included was Earl Gray. I always hated any Earl Gray I ever tried. It was always way too bitter and gross. My gift giver was telling me that the tea stores clerk made a comparison of tea forte's tea and tea bag tea. She said that the tea bagged tea was basically all of the leftover stuff from all of the good stuff. It made sense to me...So I tried the Earl Gray with high hopes that it would be the most amazing Earl I had ever found, and that I would fall in love! Well, I'M IN LOVE! This is the most amazing Earl Gray I've ever tried! It's just that perfect blend of dark spices of the Bergamot and it's just the right amount sweet! I needed to add nothing to it to make it taste better because it'd already amazing! Thank you Tea Forte!
My son brought me back a medium Classics Sampler Tin as a gift when he was on a recent trip to San Francisco. I tend to drink only Earl Grey and on occasion Darjeeling or English Breakfast. This is far and away the best tea I have ever drank. Now I just have to find where to buy it in Toronto.
This is delicious Earl Grey. If you grew up on a certain Earl Grey in the yellow paper packet, you know what it's like when some other brand gets it wrong. This gets it very right. Better, even. I suggest sticking to the lower end of the recommended brewing time though, steeping for three minutes instead of five, particularly if you don't use milk or sugar. It can be bitter by five.
I had this Teaforte Earl Grey Tea for the first time last evening at The Cut Steak House in Halifax, N.S. I mentioned to our server, Keith, how I was enjoying the cup & commented that it was definately the best cup of Earl Grey I had ever had. Pleasantly very different I told him. Sooo, he gave me 2 to bring home with me. Bless him, now I won't rest until I manage to get myself to a store to purchase some for my stash. I am a real tea fan & I see it as becoming my new favorite tea!! The fact that these are organic, perhaps some of the reason for the unusual flavor, I look forward to trying other Tea forte flavors.
My husband brought Tea Forte Earl Grey tea home for me from a business trip. When I first tasted it, I couldn't believe my taste buds! This tea is exquisite perfection. I am an avid tea drinker (and kind of a snob about it, too) and there is no other tea I've tried that is better than Tea Forte. The fact that it is organic only elevates it's stellar quality. I would say I'm totally hooked! Looking forward to tasting other varieties.
The absolute best earl grey tea I've ever had!!
Had this tea at an expensive restaurant. It quickly became my favorite and I had to track it down online. The best Earl Grey I have ever had!
Earl grey is a classic tea and this Tea Forte blend is my absolute favorite. I have tried loose and bagged and this is by far the best Earl Grey I've tasted.
