Yum!

A friend sent me a sample of this to try, and I will definitely be buying some of my own! I'm a big fan of almonds (except for fake almond flavor which is gross) and was delighted with the first sip. The almond flavor is not fake tasting or overpowering and the hint of peach is very nice.

Yumm Amaretto

A lovely amaretto aroma with a nice dessert flavor.

Great taste!

I have to say I'm really surprised by this flavor! I have never in my life tasted a tea like this. The almond flavor is quite present, and definitely not one of my favourite "nuts". But in combination with the apricot and peach.. it is absolutely lovely! I highly recommend this tea, you should at least try it once!

My friend enjoyed this tea

My friend enjoyed this tea, but I was expecting a stronger apricot flavor.

Overpowering Almond Flavor

Though the description of this tea suggests a blend of primarily apricot and peach, I noticed little of the former flavor and almost none of the latter. The almond taste overpowers all of the fruits, resulting in tea with a flavor and fragrance very similar to almond extract.

Not bad

This tea is not as flavorful as I expected. I find I like to blend it with another almond tea that I found at the local health food store. The apricot is nice and refreshing in this richer blend.

Beautiful Bouquet -- Somewhat Weak Taste

Smells heavenly brewing -- like tea olive buds blossoming in a cup. That intoxicating aroma led to a somewhat sobering first sip. I taste hints of apricot dancing with almond...I just wish the flavor was as strong as its smell. Compared to other teas, its not weak, per se. However, compared to its fragrance, it seemed a little weak. That said, I will definitely order again just to savor the scent.

Divine

This is the herbal tea to end all herbal teas. The only bad thing is that there are only four of them in the Herbal Retreat collection. This is a serious candidate for a Tea Forte single-tea collection.

One of my favorites!

I can really taste the Amaretto and the apricot to a degree and the peach also. It's great!

Warm and wonderful!

This was fantastic! It is more almond then apricot but at that its a good almond. Well blended not to sweet with rounded flavor. Not my favorite but well worth having on hand.

If you love almond, get this one.

I received a sample of this tea along with four other herbals that I will be reviewing this week. Since I had five of them, I decided to begin with the Apricot Amaretto. My first impression was that I really loved the smell. The aroma is sweet, and I could immediately pick out the apricot, peach and almond notes. The fruit dominated the dry leaves and I was pretty interested in how it would taste. I used my perfect tea maker to infuse it. I generally brew herbals around 208ish and the instructions on the back said to let it steep for 5 minutes. I loved out dark it got when it brewed, but the fruit smell began to fade as it steeped and the almondy flavors became much stronger. I let it cool to about 140 degrees and took my first sip. The almondy amaretto was very strong, so much so that it really overwhelmed and took over the apricot and peach notes that I’d smelled when I first opened the packet. I drank the cup with no sweetener, because I try not to sweeten a cup of a new tea when I first tried it. However, while it wasn’t a terrible tea, I was really hoping for that fruit that the title promised, leaving me a bit disappointed. Its tasty enough and would be interesting to try iced or sweetened, but I only had enough for the one cup. By the time I’d finished my first, I wasn’t interested in trying to re-steep it and see. I might pick up a small amount on my next tea order and try it again, but at the moment, I’m not that impressed. Still, a lovely almond flavor so if that is what you are hoping for, you’ll be satisfied.

Delightful

You absolutely have to try this tea. It will become your new favorite for several reasons. First, the aroma is to die for, it will send you to Italy just inhaling. Second, the taste is exactly what you want it to be and more. it truly tastes even better than you think it is going to. Third, the pure enjoyment of drinking such a delightful cup of tea. Don't pass this one up.
