Tea Forté is proud to bring you organic tea as part of our commitment to sustainable farming and healthy living. It’s important to us to produce genuinely distinctive, expressive leaves grown with care, unlikely to be found anywhere else in the world. The result is our premium portfolio of organic teas, all of which have earned USDA Certified Organic status.
What makes tea organic?
The difference between conventional and organic tea has as much to do with the way it’s grown as it does with the way it’s processed after harvesting. For tea to achieve USDA Organic certification, it must be grown without harmful fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides or pesticides, and it has to meet a strict set of agricultural requirements. Specifically, farms and businesses must complete a five-step process set forth by the federal government, including an application process, an onsite inspection, and thorough review by a USDA-accredited certifying agent. This system of checks and balances ensures organic methods are being followed with precision from start to finish.
The best and brightest
Of the dozens of premium organic teas offered by Tea Forte, we’re pleased to report that no fewer than seven blends have won coveted awards in the tea industry. Our inventive Blueberry Merlot, delicious Caramel Nougat and classic English Breakfast teas have all earned North American Tea Championship awards. Our delicate Hanami cherry blossom tea, aptly named after the Japanese cherry blossom festival, and our Moroccan Mint, bursting with refreshment, both brought home silver medals from the 2018 Global Tea Championships. Continuing our tradition of excellence, both our friendly Lemon Sorbetti and our fruit-forward Vanilla Pear have earned SOFI awards from the Specialty Food Association.
We’re certainly proud of our award winners, and we’re also quite fond of the rest of the blends in our organic category, ranging from delicate organic herbal tisanes to pure organic matcha, with more than 60 organic options to choose from in between.
