The taste of juicy apricot and almond pair for a refreshing infusion.
1. Heat water to 208˚F.
2. Place tea in cup and pour water over the leaves.
3. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
For loose leaf iced teas, use 3 tsp per 8oz glass and double the steep time.
I got this in an herbal sampler and wasn't even expecting to think much of it but turns out it's one of my favorite few. Almond flavoring is one of those ones you can really go overboard with, but this one handles it nicely, delivering an unmistakable and rich flavor hit yet not so much that it overdoes, gets cloying, wears you out or chases you off. The almond component of this tea comes across kind of like the marzipan in a pastry, a bit sweet and just delicious. Yet that's just one component in a composite bouquet. It's such a pleasant and tasty tea that I'll be ordering it by the canister now.
I first encountered this Apricot Amaretto tea at a small tea room in Nashville, Indiana. It was so Saturday saying that I bought a bag to bring home. Unfortunately when Imreturned to the tea room, they no longer had this delightful tea available. Not satisfied with their response, I did an internet search and found Tea Forte and...best of all the Apricot Amaretto was back in stock. So I placed my order and in a very short time I was once again enjoying my favorite tea. As a matter of fact, I made the Apricot Amaretto tea as my iced tea this evening. Now I am just relaxing and enjoying my tea and a beautiful sunset! Can't get much better than that.
