I like my green teas with a little more flavor than is found in Hanami, so purely based on personal preference it's not my favorite. That said, it is a lovely green tea, and the hint of cherry keeps it from registering as boring or ordinary. If you like a soothing, quiet green tea, you will likely enjoy Hanami.
The Hanami is another great addition to the Tea Forte green tea collection. The flavor is a pure green tea flavor with a perfect accent of cherry. The loose tea allows for the desired strength and flavor and is great for the Kati cup. The container is stylish and looks great on the counter!
Hanami tea is quite possibly the most wonderfully aromatic in the green tea selection. The scent is fantastic and the flavor is very light - much like you would imagine cherry blossoms to be. It’s a perfect tea for spring and summer. I tried doubling the amount and it does bring out the flavor even more…but steeping it longer than the two to three minutes as noted on the directions gives it a rather bitter taste, so set your timer! Normally I prefer my green tea to have just a touch of honey added, but I felt this was better on its own. I absolutely LOVE the fact that it is organic.
Received my Hanami tea order today and straight way made a cuppa. The first thing I noticed was the mild floral scent. It has a very mild flavor after steeping only 3 minutes with no after taste as a lot of other green teas can have. I find the tea very relaxing as I watch snow falling. I would recommend this tea to friends and family.
