I like my green teas with a little more flavor than is found in Hanami, so purely based on personal preference it's not my favorite. That said, it is a lovely green tea, and the hint of cherry keeps it from registering as boring or ordinary. If you like a soothing, quiet green tea, you will likely enjoy Hanami.
Another wonderful green tea from Tea Forte. Many green teas with fruit just taste fruity and lose the unique green tea flavor. Hanami is a great blend, has the richness of the green tea flavor with the perfect amount of cherry accent. Definitely follow the brewing instructions as it can get bitter if brewed too long. I have tried it a number of times and love it for a morning tea, an afternoon treat and my family enjoyed it iced. I also gave to a tea loving friend who commented that it was the perfect blend of green and sweet.
Received my Hanami tea order today and straight way made a cuppa. The first thing I noticed was the mild floral scent. It has a very mild flavor after steeping only 3 minutes with no after taste as a lot of other green teas can have. I find the tea very relaxing as I watch snow falling. I would recommend this tea to friends and family.
this tea is my new favorite. I thought it was going to be too much like cherry marzipan but I was pleasantly surprised when it was not. It has a wonderful aroma before it is brewed that does dissipate a bit. The flavor is very light(does not seem to have a heavy earthy flavor that many green teas do) but I believe that is what makes it unique and why I can't stop drinking it. I think I have consumed about 10 servings in the past day! I have had it iced and hot and have enjoyed both. The cherry flavor is not too strong and there is no after or artificial taste. I drink my tea with out any sweetener. I also put a small amount of tart cherry juice in the iced version and enjoyed that as well with double health benefits. I was able to get a second steep with relatively good flavor also. Wonderful addition to some already amazing teas.
I love green tea and this cherry flavor is over the top delicious. I will be purchasing more of this tea in the future. The tea looks to be Sencha to me, and along with the flower petals it is a beautiful eye pleasing tea. The taste is cherry there is no doubt but it is not over powering. I usually buy organic teas and mostly green tea. I am glad to have another organic option from Tea Forte.
