About Ginger Guru Chai
Tea Type
: Herbal Tea
Tea Forté’s Ginger Guru Chai is an exceptional herbal tisane featuring the bright flavors of lemongrass, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and other spices, with hints of peach and red fruit for added sweetness. While the Indian tradition of spiced tea involves only black tea leaves, its global evolution has made way for additional tea varieties like this gorgeous herbal infusion. Free of caffeine, tisanes like Ginger Guru offer a calming cup of comfort and warmth at any time of day or night.
Ginger Guru Chai’s character is one of complexity. Balancing a ginger-forward opening with subtle fruit flavors in the background, it offers a smooth-drinking experience that both soothes and enlivens the spirit. One of the longest-exported spices from the tropical lowlands of India, ginger has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years across many parts of Asia and the Middle East, lauded for its ability to soothe the stomach and throat. Its popularity began to spread through Europe with ancient Greeks and Romans who benefited from the spice trade.
As for this blend’s other ingredients, cardamom dates back to the Vedic era of India around 3,000 B.C., when it was widely used as medicine; it later served as a popular perfume note during the Greek and Roman empires. It’s joined by lemongrass, a culinary herb with a slightly citrusy taste, used in many traditional teas and curry dishes across Asia and Africa. Together with cardamom, cinnamon, and fruit flavorings, these spices combine for a cozy tea blend with a slightly sweet finish.
Ginger Guru Chai may be enjoyed with milk or sugar to taste, and makes for a delicious latte when prepared with warm, frothed milk. Tea enthusiasts may also enjoy it without accompaniment, allowing the blend to stand alone and unfurl its flavors one by one

The Health Benefits of Drinking Tea Without Caffeine
Tea Forte makes excellent teas. Ginger Guru Chai, Lemon Sorbetti, Ginger Lemongrass, Orchid Vanilla, and the other chai teas being my favorites. I've been drinking them regularly for about seven years. The issue now is that they are out of stock for long periods. I've tried stocking up, and now it was entering the hoarding zone. That's a good problem to have if you're the tea provider; bad for regular consumers. I've had to wait for months for my favorites to come back online. When you ran out of all chai teas, it resulted in exploring other options. I'm hoping it's only a 2020 thing and not a new norm.
