About Bleu Hibiscus

Tea Type : Herbal Tea

A bright and fruity herbal tea with a crisp tart finish, what makes Bleu Hibiscus distinct is its dramatic violet hue. BLEU Hibiscus is part of Tea Forte’s BLEU collection, a sustainably-sourced family of all natural herbal blue teas with no artificial colors or flavors. The striking visual presence of each BLEU tea is matched by an herbal symphony of taste. What gives this tea its vibrant color is the butterfly pea (or blue pea) flower, a prized species native to Southeast Asia and often used in traditional cuisine. The butterfly pea flower is a vining plant that comes in shades of white, purple, and of course, blue.

BLEU Hibiscus is a naturally caffeine-free and its ingredients include hibiscus, apple, orange peels, rose hips, and butterfly pea flower. All herbal teas are properly referred to as "tisanes" or infusions, crafted from dried herbs, flowers, leaves, roots, seeds and fruit. Like tea, herbal infusions have been consumed for centuries as healing tonics to lift the spirit and enhance well-being. Tea Forte’s herbal blends, including this butterfly pea tea, are hand-crafted with artisan care and a vast knowledge of how the antioxidant properties and therapeutic applications of pure, fresh herbs, flowers, and botanicals, deliver delicious healthful infusions that can delight both mind and body.

    Peppy Purple Potion

If you think of tea drinking as more than just a beverage and a true experience, than Bleu Hibiscus is the tea for you. Slightly tart but mostly mellow, this tea is intoxicating to drink. The color is a vivid violet and looks beautiful in a clear mug. I slightly prefer the flavor of the Bleu Blossom, but this is my second favorite of Tea Forte’s Bleu options.

    Mild, pleasant tea (and purple!)

I have bought this for myself and as a gift because it has a mild pleasant taste and steeps purple so it's a fun gift.

    Light, refreshing and purple!

Definitely a fun tea to drink as it steeps purple. If you're not someone that likes a strong tea this is a great option as it's super light. For me to get much flavor I have to steep a little longer.

Good to try, but not a favorite.

I love teas with hibiscus, but I was a little disappointed with this Bleu. If you make it to match the nice blue color shown, it is too light in taste. If you make it stronger, the citrus tones gives it an off aftertaste. I think iced is probably a better way to experience this tea.

    Deliciously Different

Hibiscus, apple, hint of orange. Then add the rose hips, awesome. Another "home run." A MUST for all. You'll be happy you tried it. Definitely won't be disappointed!
