Did You Know?
Our tea is made from the husks of cacao seeds that are leftover from the chocolate making process. These husks contain a hint of the chocolate flavors once inside, but do not retain measurable quantities of caffeine or the other bitter flavors of pure cacao.
Tea type: Herbal tea
‘A very rich and natural indulging herbal tea’ is the best way to describe Tea Forté Belgian Mint tea, where cacao bean and peppermint leaves meet. Both the cacao bean and cacao husk impart a rich, all natural chocolate flavor to the Peppermint infusion.
The peppermint’s fresh, invigorating character cleanses the palate and is a wonderful after-dinner digestive. In addition, peppermint is thought to improve sleep and the menthol in peppermint is a natural decongestant explaining why mint teas are so wonderful when you have a cold.
- Flavor: refreshing peppermint balanced with satisfying chocolate; naturally sweet finish
- Aroma: peppermint patty
- Color: amber
- Strength: rich, smooth consistency, full bodied

I discovered Tea Forté last year whiling staying at Kingsmill in Williamsburg, and I feel like my tea~loving prayers were answered! After I got home, I went online and found Tea Forté and now each day I drink one or more of the many kinds of tea that I have come to love. The Belgian Mint is right up there as one of my most favorites as I drink this mostly in the evenings, when I do not want to consume any more caffeine for the day, but still want both a wonderful tea AND a treat before bed. I sweeten it a little but without question, this is one of my favorite Tea Forté teas.
This is my most favorite tea! It's like eating chocolate mint squares from Ghirardelli, but in tea form. I used 2 teaspoons of the mix and steeped for about 8 minutes. I then added a couple teaspoons of raw, unfiltered honey. It really is divine. My one and only complaint is that the tea does NOT look like the picture. The picture has more substantial pieces, while the tea I got is very, very finely ground and resembles a coffee in a way. It does seep through the Kati cup mesh infuser, but it doesn't bother me. Try this, it's decadent. Great for dieters who want to get their "fix" without blowing the progress they've made. PLEASE, don't ever stop making this Tea Forte!
This tea was my first taste of a Tea Forte blend and it is definitely the best loose leaf tea I've had to date. I'm a loose leaf newbie and still learning the subtleties of this art form (it really is an art to make and find the perfect blend). This tea + a little raw sugar + Kati cup = perfection. It soothes my chocolate-loving soul, with just the perfect harmony of mint to leave a very nice cooling sensation on the tongue after each sip. A fabulous way to de-stress before bed. Give it a chance, you won't regret it!
Very delicious. Other brands have either not enough chocolate or not enough mint flavor. But this one is just so well balanced. I drink it every day and mix it in the morning with the skin smart cucumber mint tea for health benefits and caffeine. I also ship it regularly to my mother in Germany since she can not find anything like it over there. Please never discontinue.
I love this tea. I have had both the loose tea and the pyramid infusers and the flavor is fabulous. This tea is the perfect blend of chocolate and mint. The tea is both soothing and robust. I am never disappointed in the taste and find it to be an excellent stress reliever after a hard day at work.
Its wonderful! My favorite I think, there are a few that are hard to choose between they are all so amazing. However, this one is dessert from start to finish. I do add a bit of stevia as I like mine a bit sweet but this flavor without it is still to die for if your a chocolate lover as I am.
I was just enjoying a cup of this tea and had to admit - this is my favorite way to get that taste of chocolate without eating a whole bar of it! A great tea for after dinner, but really, anytime is a good time for chocolate & mint.
Perfect balance, indeed. Exactly right. How can it be that a single sip is so simply, purely...chocolate and mint? But it is. Nothing else. Chocolate. Mint. Exquisite.
