Complex and assertive, black teas are the most consumed of all the teas. Black tea goes through four stages of production – withering, rolling, oxidation and drying/firing. This process results in a penetrating, intense taste and contains more caffeine than less oxidized teas. With a focus on quality, Tea Forté only seeks out small gardens dedicated to quality and sustainable practices, to protect and benefit the people and the land. Searching and sampling, Tea Forté selects large, well-shaped, leaves that are hand processed and carefully crafted, a laborious and time consuming task that requires patience and a passion for our offerings of exquisite black tea.

This is a desert! Very deep flavors!
I ordered this tea based on the glowing reviews, but it was one of the worst Tea Forte teas I've ever had! I tried it alone, with milk, and with sugar, but the rum flavor overpowers everything else. I couldn't even finish the canister and gave it to a friend who is using it as flavoring in her baking and dessert projects.
I've had to give up coffee, something about it just doesn't agree with me any more. I'd been hunting around for something to drink in the morning tat satisfies me in the same way a good cup of coffee does, and lucked into finding this tea. Finally! Cold steeped roasted barley tea is nice, but it lacks a certain something when served warm. I can't help thinking the barley in this is what makes me like it so. The flavor? I can't really describe it. I like it hot or cold, so if I forget to finish a cup, I just add some ice cubes later in the day. Is this one gone forever? or just a seasonal treat? I'm stocking up again when it returns, that's for sure! If they sold this by the pound, I"d buy it.
Dont steep this tea too long! The rum flavor was just too much for me.
My wife is a coffee drinker, but its not unusual to hear her say 'Honey, can you make a pot of that Rum Raisin Biscotti tea?' And my answer is always YES!! Also a great way to start a weekend morning with something different. Love the flavors in this one.
I only recently became aware of Tea Forte after visiting the Sagamore hotel in Lake George, NY. All the teas are so yummy and look very elegant when served to guests. I recently got the Warming Joy collection that had rum raisin biscotti flavor. This is my favorite in the collection and so yummy. I highly recommend it and hope to buy more in the future.
Other than the occasional cup of tea with friends, I was not much of a tea drinker. Then l tasted the Rum Raisin Biscotti at my best friend's house. From the very first sip l was hooked!! I absolutely love, love, love this tea. I drink tea all the time now. It is thee best tea l have ever tasted!
I like to start my day with black tea and your Rum Raisin Biscotti has become my morning favorite! It's flavors are complex with just the right amount of sweetness. Mmmm - looking forward to tomorrow morning's first cup!
I was transitioning away from flavored teas until I tried Rum Raising Biscotti. Wow! A smooth and harmonious blend with sun-ripened fruit accents over a vanilla creme base. Wish this was available all year.
This tea has such a complex flavor... Great for the holidays! I don't really think it needs sweetener since it tastes sweet on its own but it's nice with milk. I'd definitely buy it again!
This is an awesome sweet tea even without chocolate flavor. The scent of rum and barley absolutely makes me feel like I'm at a bakery. I do not think it needs more sweetner, but it tastes even better with a hint of milk, yumm :)
This tea is awesome. It gives me 'happy mouth'.
Love the idea of rum raisin biscotti" but somehow the flavor doesn't just jump out at you. You have to close your eyes and dream a little if you want to make it work.
