I am always one for more black currant-flavoured food and drink, and so this blend's balance of currant and black tea feels rather satisfying. Equally, the occasional note of black raspberry only empowers the fruity feeling, making this tea rather light and palatable. That said, if allowed to steep for longer periods of time, the fruitiness will fade, weakening the tea's appeal. Finding the right amount of time to steep it at for one's palate, then, is essential before forming an opinion for oneself. I would recommend this tea as a general use tea, good any time of the day, though I personally found it most enjoyable later at night.
This was on my list of teas to try for months! Really glad I signed up for email alerts because this has quickly become one of my favorites. It's quite fruity and greeny fresh without being bitter. I drink it without any additions. Give this tea a try if you like earl grey or berry basket. Strong flavor.
When Peet’s Coffee quit making their black current tea, I was devastated. I tried Tea Forte’s at a local cafe and was filled with excitement. Yours is the closest I’ve found and I’ve been a happy camper ever since. Even introduced it at a “bring your favorite tea” tea party. Just wish it wasn’t so popular! Hard to wait when I’m out and so are you!
I am a die hard black tea drinker and was hesitant to try a fruity tea. Well to my surprise this tea is the perfect blend of a more traditional black tea with hints of black current. I just love this tea and buy it in bulk quantities because now I'm addicted !
