I got this tea in a simple steep sampler. The tea is very aromatic and visually beautiful. My first sip...I felt like I got slapped by the ginger-felt sad that it wasn't meant to be. I took another sip and my palate was invoked by the delicate taste of pears! I cannot believe the pear flavor in this tea. The flavor starts with pear and then finishes with the ginger. If you're not a ginger person-this tea may not be for you. Truly enjoyed this tea and will be purchasing a canister in the near future!
A little bit goes a very long way (it can be a bit spicy at the end). I didn't notice this much spiciness in the actual teabags I had used previously. For this loose tea, I wouldn't use a heaping spoon full, as the loose tea is very rich and flavorful! I may prefer the convenience of pre-made teabags, but this is my personal preference only. (The tea itself is so delicious. It's my favorite!)
