A sweet, fruity herbal tea with ripe berries and lemon.
1. Heat water to 208˚F.
2. Place tea in cup and pour water over the leaves.
3. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
4. Enjoy!
For loose leaf iced teas, use 3 tsp per 8oz glass and double the steep time.
Of all the teas in the herbal sampler, I predicted this would be one of my favorites. But oddly it turned out fairly faint and kind of dead, like the ghost of a tea that was once good. It's like the flavor was baked out of it. I was expecting strawberry, apple, and lemon notes, but only got a hint of tired old apple, both on the nose and on the palate. It almost made me wonder if it was an old sample. If you get one, I recommend you steep double the recommended time. I tried that with my second sachet and it improved a bit. Not as much as hoped, but some. I wonder if this one would benefit from some chamomile rather than the linden leaf listed in the ingredients, just to add something with a bit of apple echo and friendlier flavor. But either way, they need to bump up the strawberry for sure or they can't call it Strawberry Apple.
Delicious tea. I would love to serve this iced if there was a way to purchase it by itself.
