Samplers and assortments are a great way to try things you aren't sure you want a whole canister of. There were several teas in this assortment that I had been looking at, and a few that I'm not sure I will like. But I'll be trying them all, and I would bet that there will be another Tea Forte order in my future!
I say “blends” because I am assuming that is the secret to these teas. I have never had teas (especially herbal ones) that hold up to their “flavor promise” like these do. I have a suspicion(?) that being “loose,” they don’t give off that “astringent” flavor that I’ve always disliked about bagged herbal teas. Either way, this sampler has been a winner for me. I have classed so far 4 “loves” and 3 “likes.” Well worth the price to explore them.
I was almost out of Tea Forte’s Herbal Retreat pyramid tea infuser collection and I couldn’t reorder it because it was sold out, so I purchased this loose leaf assortment of herbal teas instead. What a happy discovery! This single steeps tea chest not only has all of the delicious blends contained in the fabulous Herbal Retreat collection - Blueberry Merlot, Mojito Marmalade, Apricot Amaretto, are among my very favorites - but also another nine enticing herbal teas to choose from depending on the time of day/night, your mood, and what appeals to your taste buds. A tip if you find some of these teas too watery tasting, I have discovered that using less than the recommended 12 ounces of water produces a cup of tea more to my liking - I use 9-10 ounces of water instead (depending on the tea blend) and get more satisfying results.
I ordered loose teas to fully enjoy the textures, tastes and aromas and to be environmentally conservative. We opened our box on Valentine's Day and have been savoring every sip since. The variety is wonderful, warms the mind and body, Thank-you, Tea Forte!
