coco truffle
Steep for 5 minutes, 208°F
For stronger flavor, steep longer.
For loose leaf herbal iced teas, use 3 tsp per 8oz glass and double the steep time.
Our tea is made from the husks of cacao seeds that are leftover from the chocolate making process. These husks contain a hint of the chocolate flavors once inside, but do not retain measurable quantities of caffeine or the other bitter flavors of pure cacao.
Moreover, perhaps the biggest health benefit of Coco Truffle has more to do with what you are not drinking than what you are. As a nearly zero-calorie, caffeine-free beverage Coco Truffle is a wonderful substitute for whatever else you might have during a sweet craving.
A great herbal tea for a coffee drinker.
This is my favorite Herbal tea. It is a big disappointment, however, that you can't buy it in a canister or even a 1 lb bag as you can with the African Solstice.

Yummy Tea!
This tea is very tasty and similar to the coconut chocolate truffle black tea. I drink the black tea during the day and switch to this one in late afternoon or evening. As some reviewers have said, the flavor isn't as strong but that works well for me since I don't want a lot of caffeine or an over-powering flavor at night. It can be steeped a little longer than some other herbal teas to add extra flavor. A small dash of coconut milk makes this into the perfect dessert tea! I also would like to see this tea offered in loose canisters.

Bring back loose canisters
I have enough loose tea left for maybe two cups of Coco Truffle herbal tea. Of the caffeine free teas, it is by far my favorite. However, I will not be purchasing the pyramid infusers. They are much too expensive. From Tea Forte - We will be bringing in Coco Truffle in Loose Tea Pouches - July 2012.

Not as impressed
I found the chocolate tea to be bland not a deeply rich chocolate flavor as described. However, I do tend to prefer black teas with stronger flavors. I would have returned for an exchange but the box had been opened. I will be passing on to friends who enjoy milder taste.

aromatic, soothes the senses
I experienced forte tea for the first time when on a date with my husband at our favorite restaurant. The Coco Truffle totally blew me away, this tea flavor is truly a delight to my sense of smell & taste. The aroma was enveloping, the taste truly chocolate, simply put, it was THE BEST way to cap off a wonderful dining experience with my best guy. Forte tea, I will definitely seek out locations in my area where I can purchase some for myself and to give as gifts, especially the Coco Truffle.

One of the best -- why discontinue it?
This is a wonderfully delicious tea. Unlike most other companies, which simply add chocolate chips to black tea, this herbal tea has a rich, chocolate taste -- without caffeine -- that makes it appropriate any time of day. It's especially well suited for people who may be lactose-intolerant: a well-steeped cup of this with a splash of soy, rice, almond or coconut milk and a touch of sweetener makes a good stand-in for hot chocolate. Sadly, Tea Forte is discontinuing the loose tea. I've stocked up, but I'm disappointed it will only be available in the individual infuser form -- it's much more expensive and wasteful, particularly when you want to make multiple cups. Nonetheless, it is a great tea -- I recommend buying the loose tea canister while you still can!

"This is one AWESOME chocolate flavored tea"
"It’s lively, and the very aroma is indulgent. I only recommend serving this one hot, but if you love chocolate, you will love this tea no matter how you serve it."

Wonderful Flavor....
I received this tea at a Wedding Shower Tea Luncheon. It is truly one of the best teas I have ever had. They gave an assortment of teas as favors at the tables. I brought my home and could not imagine a "dessert tea". I am hooked. This is on my list to buy for myself and as a special gift for friends and family!

The caffeine level in a cup of tea can vary by tea type, steeping practices and even the particular tea harvest. We use the following designations as guidelines for the caffeine levels of our teas:
Robust, high caffeine teas; 50-100mg
Lower caffeine teas with shorter steeping times; 30-50mg
Tea/herbal blends with less than 30mg
Decaf tea retains a tiny amount of caffeine
Herbal teas are 100% caffeine free
These steeping guidelines produce the best results for our palates. Use them as a guideline, but you may certainly experiment and find the best results for yours.
