The simple process of plucking and then simply drying tea leaves to create this delicate category makes white teas a favorite focus of many health minded professionals. Certainly there are those who profess that white tea, renowned for its high antioxidant levels, is the most beneficial of all tea types. There are also many claims that the caffeine content of white teas is below that of other tea types (black, green, oolong).
A few things we’re sure of are as follows: white teas are very high in antioxidants, tend to be delicate in flavor and astringency and therefore easy on an empty stomach, because they are usually steeped in cooler water (180º F) they can have lowered caffeine content.

This is an amazing tea!
As I am making my way through all of the Tea Forte' dessert teas, I am finding that each one is better than the next. I usually have to add honey or cream to my tea so that it doesn't either bore or overpower me depending on the variety. This tea has just the right amount of natural sweetness and such a wide array of aromas and flavors that adding something would somehow take away from the experience.

I fell for this tea the moment I smelled the flavor! Then I tasted it and I know I want to have it again. It is wonderful and very soothing.

The caffeine level in a cup of tea can vary by tea type, steeping practices and even the particular tea harvest. We use the following designations as guidelines for the caffeine levels of our teas:
Robust, high caffeine teas; 50-100mg
Lower caffeine teas with shorter steeping times; 30-50mg
Tea/herbal blends with less than 30mg
Decaf tea retains a tiny amount of caffeine
Herbal teas are 100% caffeine free
These steeping guidelines produce the best results for our palates. Use them as a guideline, but you may certainly experiment and find the best results for yours.
